What's an event
An event is one thing the tracker records for a site: a pageview, a session, a conversion, a JS error, a rage click. It's the raw signal askbowtie stores and joins so your agent can answer questions about it later. Add up events across every site under your account. Stay under 100,000 a month combined and the tracker, dashboard, and MCP cost nothing.

- What does it cost?
- You pay when Bowtie thinks for you, or when your traffic gets big. Everything else is free. The tracker, your dashboard, and the MCP are free for normal use: up to 100,000 events a month across your sites, and you can query it all you like, including from your own AI agent. AI answers (the in-app Ask tab, rolling out) and traffic beyond the free tier run on credits. $10 buys 1,000, a typical question costs a few, and credits never expire. Early users start with a free stack. No surprise bills, ever.
- Do I need a credit card to start?
- No. Sign in with the magic link at /login, install the tracker, and the free tier just works. You only add credits when you want AI answers or your traffic outgrows the free tier.
- Do credits expire?
- No. Credits you buy stay on your account until you use them.
- Is the MCP metered?
- No. Querying your data over MCP, from your own agent, is not metered and is included in the free tier.
- What if I run several sites?
- Each site gets its own tracker and its own database under one account, and the 100,000 events a month is shared across all of them. Credits work the same way: one pool, spend it on whichever site needs it.
- Is there a subscription?
- No. There's no monthly plan to pick and no seat count. You buy credits when you need them and they don't expire.
