The analytics your AI agent can read

The shift

Every analytics tool assumes a person will open it, scan a chart, and draw the conclusion. Your agent does none of that. It wants to ask a question and get structured data back, then reason over it. A dashboard makes the agent screenshot pictures it cannot parse. An MCP hands it the numbers directly, which is why the answer arrives in one turn instead of a scavenger hunt across tabs.

Read-only versus watching

Google's official GA4 MCP server is a good example of the first generation: it reads your Analytics data inside a chat you start. That is genuinely useful, and it is read-only, local, and quiet by design. Nothing runs when the chat is closed.

askbowtie is hosted, so it does two things a doorway cannot. It joins signals GA4 never had, and it keeps watching when no one is asking. A funnel that breaks at 2am rings the bell without an agent in the loop, then any agent can pick up the thread the next morning.

Why the join matters

The useful answers live between the metrics, not inside one. "Conversions dropped" is a shrug. "Conversions dropped on the pricing page, which also started throwing a JavaScript error after Tuesday's deploy, and its exit rate doubled" is a diagnosis. A single-source reader cannot make that sentence. A server that holds traffic, errors, performance, search, and ads together can, and hands it to your agent whole.

Try it

Point your agent at your own site and ask the messy question you would never phrase for a dashboard:

the prompt

why did conversions drop last week, and is anything broken?

On askbowtie.com's real data, that one prompt returns the number, the likely cause, and the page it lives on. No dashboard tour. That is the whole idea: see how it works.
